Relieved

I was really relieved today. Just submitted my final ethics application for the Victoria University Human Research Ethics Application. After I had received the letter of approval from International Diabetes Institute Ethics Committee and Austin Health Ethics Committee(the toughest of them all) then I could submit the last ethics application to VU ethics committee. I pray and confident it will get through smoothly. I felt like I could fly up high to the sky, as one of the biggest burden had past by. Really , really relieved. Praised to Allah. Alhamdulillah

River View

One of those day
At 6pm
Weather was absolutely beautiful
Cool breeze wind
Couldn't ask for more

As I walk along the river
Enjoying the scenery
Listen to the music of the world
then
The wind whispering to my ears
As I sat down
watching....
the river full of activities

Wonderful

As I continue to walk

I was inspired

Look through inside of me

How I wanted to do and to be

Spending time after days of hard work
Really refreshing

And......

The Inspiration will still continue

Until the mission accomplish

Place to Stay: Coburg

Went to Coburg did a quick tour around the area, the township, school, transportation and the houses. My friend Zainah, she is working in The Ministry of Youth and Sports coming to Melbourne for her PhD starting next year. She will come with her husband and 3 kids. I have gave her options and suggestions where to stay and finally she have decided to stay at Suburb area because of financial reason. She asked me about Coburg since she already got school placement for her kids at Coburg Primary School from Victoria Education Department.
Coburg is a nice place to stay. The transportation is excellent. There are tram line, train line and buses. The township area is actually at Sydney road and Bell street. Halal meat and food not a problem at all. The school itself near the town area. Just a walking distance from the town. There are few medical centers, Coles, Safeway etc. All within reach provided if she manage to get a house near by the township area. The houses are nice with big backyard. I have taken few pictures and sent the pictures to her.

Until we meet again

Nice to have them around. I really missed all my friends back home. Meeting them and being with them most of the time, I felt really great. Well times flies, now is the time for them to go after a month course in Royal Melbourne Hospital.

They first came with one big luggage and one small bag. After one month, mmmmm ....... they really shopped a lot. Hopefully no excess baggage guys!!!!!

They are so fortunate, no excess baggage at all. How nice they have the opportunity to travel long distance journey in business class.

Final chat with Yus and the rest. Yus might come again next year for her 6 month sub-specialty program. She will go to Adelaide doing her training. Looking forward to go there too.

Farewell Dinner

Had dinner at Yus' hotel last night. Yus and the rest planned a farewell dinner and invited Pam and Norman as the guess of honour. It was also Pam's birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday Pam.

A change

I wanted to do something different yesterday, went to the city and bring along my laptop. Finally I end up at City Square Starbucks. I ordered Ice Blended Mocha added with peppermint and chips, and a piece of chocolate brownie. Sat at an empty spot then started doing some work.

Appointment at Bendigo

Pam had made an arrangement to meet Prof. Distler at Bendigo on Wednesday. Yus and Me were looking forward to meet him. Especially me, I have not seen him since year 2002. He came to Rehab Medicine Clinical Examination as an External Examiner that year. I have been trying to contact him since I arrived last year but failed. Well he is a busy Rehabilitation Clinical Consultant, travel all over Australia and other countries.
I met Yus, Norman and Pam at Royal Melbourne Hospital then Norman drove us to Bendigo. Bendigo is about 120 km and it took us less than 90 minutes to reach there. Like Ballarat, Bendigo is also known as the gold mine area during the gold rush era in 1850's.

First we stop at Bendigo Art Gallery to meet Prof. Distler and his wife Sally at the Art Gallery Cafeteria. I was shocked. He looked so different. He lost weight. Wow!!!. He is currently one third of his previous size. :) . He lost 25 kg for the last 3 years. I was amassed. He looked more fitter and cheerful. Really nice to meet him and was happy he still remember me very well. "I still can remember you Nahar". :)

After a short chat at the cafeteria, we went for a quick tour. Norman took me and Yus to the highest peak in Bendigo. I managed to reach the peak, finally as I am height phobia. :)

View part of the city

It remind me of the two tower, Lord of the ring. :)

Went to the famous Joss House in Bendigo. We don't have much time to stop at all interesting places and historic building. I might come back again sometime later.

Arrived at Prof. Distler house. Really nice. The house itself was build in 1884 and still well maintain.

Full of Roses

Absolutely beautiful.

Had a short house tour. Really amassing.

We had English tea. I like the home made scone. Mmmmm fantastic. I love scone with marmalade. :)

Really had a great time and chat with Prof.
