ANZAC Day - Melbourne

Friday 25th April 2008
An ANZAC Day.
Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
The pride they took in that name endures to this day
The Anzac Day Parade. In Melbourne CBD the parade took place from Swanston street, St Kilda Road until The Shrine.

The tradition. The current army in service

and the veterans marching with pride

An honour to be remembered and appreciation from the country to whom had served for the nation.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival ended yesterday. I have seen one of the show with my friend. Well, may be I don't appreciate comedy so much. I didn't laugh at all, not sure if it was funny or I might not understand at all or may be both.

Tahlil malam tadi di rumah Adel dan Nazim. Kebetulan Auntie Amelia (Emak Adel) ada di sini. So Auntie Amelia yang menyediakan juadah tahlil. Sedap.......
Sebagai penghargaan pada Adel yang mengambil gambar ni pakai my camera. Cantik. Background mengancam. Thanks Adel.

'Morning Glory'

Woke up early Sunday morning, try to adjust myself due to day light saving that day. Catch an early train. I need to reach Botanical Garden at the Shrine before 8.00am. Had an appointment with Adam again for my second photography session.

I reached early. Sharp at 8.00 am Adam arrived. The weather was great that day. Early morning sun with clear sky. It was nice to take picture early morning in this kind of weather.

Walked through Botanical Garden, while Adam giving tips and explained to me all my doubt.

Transforming an object and becoming interesting in a picture is challenging.

Learn some more tricks from Adam. I was excited. Now is the time for me to experiment it.

I never thought I would get an opportunity like this. First bought the camera from him last December and now we became friend and my "Guru". His is a kind person. Like to teach somebody enthusiasm like me. That, what he said. :) . I don't think I will get this from any camera sales person even from the same place where he works. Really appreciate his kindness and his time with me that day.

Saturday Outing - Carlton Garden

Saturday morning I called Zainah. She and her family were on their way to Melbourne Flower Festival. I told her, I am going there too. We meet up at Parliment Station.

The flower festival at Carlton Garden is just a walking distance from Parliment Railway Station

Spent almost 4 hours in the show ground.

Ashraf really had a good time.
