My Cookies

Regularly, I will make my own homemade biscuits supply for a week or two during weekend. Stop buying and make my homemade cookies. My favorite is always chocolate chips cookies and my new addition favorite is oats and raisin cookies. I have found all the recipes online but as usual I modified most of it especially in regards with sugar. Looking at most of the recipes, they used so much sugar. yuck.... I have cut down a lot and used only 1/3 of the recommended amount. Still, it still sweet. I will definitely cut some more next time. Don't like cookies too sweet. Change the butter to low calorie and low fat butter. Try to make it as healthier as possible. Yummy...

Another Day Another Cake

Greg (the chef), used to be my research study participant, came in and brought me a birthday cake which he made himself. Called me earlier just to make sure I am around. Nice Chocolate Mud Cake. Yummy . Well one more cake in my refrigerator. God knows how long it will take me to finish all the cakes. Now I have two cakes.....

I took it just out side my apartment from the corridor.
Well it was beautiful. Wish I was in the city or beaches...

Birthday Lunch

It my birthday today, thank you for all the wishes I received from friends and my family.

I had a birthday lunch today in the department. I have planned it a week earlier, what I want to bring for the lunch gathering. I told everybody I will bring the main course.

I have made, 'Nasi Lemak (Coconut rice)' with 'sambal tumis ikan bilis', 'Roti Canai', 'Udang masak lemak' and Beef Rendang'. Love to watch everybody enjoying the food. I have made everything less hot, not much chilli in it. Glad everything finished. :-)

Just for information. I modified slightly the Nasi Lemak, which I didn't used thick coconut milk, instead I used light coconut milk and skim milk. :-), try to make so call healthy version of Nasi Lemak. Turn out to be not so bad at all.

The department brought me a birthday cake. :-)

Well this is it. The cake. So rich with chocolate. Mmmmmm yummy yummy.....

The other half of the cake is in my refrigerator, not sure when I am going to finish it. Months maybe...............................

My Birthday Present

The present I received for my birthday.

A wonderful card from department of Cardiology Research; the head of the department and all the staffs. I was touched by all the words they wrote in the card. Was a little bit emotional. Thanks guy.

Appreciation from patients

Nice coffee (macam kopi 434, best) smells nice. Tried first time few weeks back when Graeme, one of the patients brought us this coffee when he saw the coffee we had in the gym. He said, 'what a crap you have' (referring to Nescafe). Then next week he brought us this coffee. Douglas personally bought one medium box just for me as an appreciation for looking after him and came early morning to the gym. :-)

John brought me Mandarin Orange which he grew it from his own garden. Nice Mandarin orange.
