Publish and Flourish

I attended a workshop organised by Post Graduate Research Unit, Victoria University August 30th . The two speaker in this workshop were really outstanding. They were in control during the suppose to be 2 hours session but instead it extended for another 30 minutes. I am really impressed. The session was done after lucnh, we started at 2.00 pm until 4.30 pm. And you know what i didn't felt sleepy during the whole session. They were so convincing, confidence and really knows thier material .

I really find the workshop session very useful. I am so motivated. Initailly i thought of not going for the workshop but good i changed my mind. It will help me alot and give some ideas when i am going to submit for publication later.

Productive Day

This was the third time i had my practice session using the department ultrasound machine. The Ultrasound machine is more or less similar to what we have in sports medicine clinic. Only this ultrasound machine has doppler. I have never used ultrasound machine with doppler before. Had a session with a Professor who incharge the machine to teach me how to use it.

After a year i have not using ultrasound machine, i am almost lost my skill. But so fortunate after three session i am gaining back my confidence and skill. As an additional now i know how to use ultrasound machine with doppler. I am so excited about it. I will use this machine as one of the procedure for my study project. Thanks to Lenora who always been loyal being my volunteer. I will have 3 days session a week to practice until my project started next January.

I am definitely proud to a Malaysian.

When ever people ask me where are you from.

Proudly i will say I am from Malaysia.

Happy Independence Day for you Malaysia

Lolly's Wonderland

One of candy (Lolly) famous shop in Melbourne. They also selling chocolate. Home made chocolate. You know what, you can ask strawberry with chocolate. It remaind me of ???? :) .

Smith Street

During lunch time I went to Smith street with Adel, Nazim and Adam. Had a discussion with one of the librarian officer earlier at 9.00 am and did some work before meeting them at Melbourne Central at noon. I have not been to Smith Street before, but i have heard about it. There are alot of factory outlets at Smith street. Really interesting, who ever like shoping, well you can come here and shop till you drop. Nike, Adidas, Brooke, Converse, Kathmandu, Colorado and so many branded name you can fine here with cheaper price. But still I found it much cheaper in Malaysia though. Anyway if compare dollar to dollar it is cheap.

I have no intention to buy. I went there to find out the place and accompany Adel and Nazim, since Nazim wanted to buy running shoes. Spent for about 2 hours at Smith Street, still alot to see but we had it enough for the day. Nazim decided not to buy the shoe yet. Might come back another day. For me this is an opportunity exploring another part of Melbourne.

Family Reunion Dinner at Newmarket

Adel and her family organised a dinner at her place last night
She invited Auntie Kamariah ( Mama Rock 1st cousin )
Married with an Australian( Frank who is a Lawyer) and stayed in Melbourne for 20+ years
Have 5 childrens (4 daughters and a son)
As usual Mama Rock cooked for the dinner
Nasi Beryani, Spagetti , fried calamari and fried mixed vegetable
Not to mention we did bought Pizza from footscray
Then Auntie Kamariah came
she bought an apple crumble with a small box of ice cream
Mmmmm yum yum :)
Auntie Kamariah and Mama Rock have not met for more than 20 years
Besides them, Razak and his wife was also invited
I last met Razak last year during idul adha at one of our friend's open house.
Well the dinner was really great and the reunion was even exciting for Adel and the rest of the family
It turn out to be a good reunion for both Auntie Kamariah and Adel
At least they have family here in Melbourne.
